I came up with the phrase of imperfect balance one night at 3 a.m while trying to figure out what to do with my life and all I want to do.
The uncertainty didn´t let me sleep.
And the next day, after taking notes in my notes app on my phone of course, I researched the term to see if any other industry used it.
And I found a book called Imperfect Balance for IT managers.
According to the book Imperfect Balance in IT is: “Adapting to this paradigm shift requires IT managers to learn how to enhance business value in every aspect of the business while continuously lowering costs and not taking undue risks.”
In productivity terms for people like us I like to define Imperfect Balance as: learning to enhance your life while being less busy and achieving more in every aspect.
A caveat: There is no productivity that applies equally to everyone.
Because you're not everyone.
You are unique and have unique experiences, unique obligations and unique expectations.
You are about to discover how to balance it all, while lowering your workload and taking the risk to enjoy more, be happier, fulfilled without neglecting your business.
